Get to Know Us
OCSP Cat Rescue is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, no-kill cat rescue,
focusing on saving cats from high-kill shelters. We are 100% volunteer-run and heavily rely on foster homes to save cats. OCSP Cat Rescue is dedicated to finding the perfect pair for each cat and adopter so that everyone lives happily furrever after. We are always looking for more volunteers and fosters to help us in our mission to save cats, so please feel free to contact us if you are interested!
If you are looking for a new kitty, search our available cats on Petfinder or stop by one of our weekly adoption events. We recommend that you fill out our adoption application ahead of time to jump-start our simple, friendly, and helpful adoption process. We welcome questions about our cats before, during, and after the adoption process- more info about your new companion is a quick email away!
Contact us at OCSP.adoptions@gmail.com for any inquiries!
Desperate for Volunteers
and Fosters!
Petco has been so generous to give us habitats where cats live full-time while waiting for their forever homes. Our group needs volunteers who can commit to just one (2-hour) weekly shift.
The kennels are easy to wipe down. You scoop/replace litter, wash food bowls, and give the cats a chance to stretch and play while you clean. Happy cats get adopted much more quickly, and we would love your help in keeping our cats happy!
Fosters are vital to our life-saving work! We are primarily a foster-based rescue, relying on foster parents to help house cats until they find their “furrever” homes. Fostering cats is very rewarding. If just 2% of pet owners opened up their homes to just one cat a year, we could end preventable euthanasia.
Spotlight from 2021
OCSP is a recipient of the Petco Love Grant 2021. We have been awarded $7,500. Grants, along with donations from the public, are the only source of income our organization has, and we rely on these funds to help the cats in our community. Thank you PetcoLove for supporting our lifesaving efforts here at OCSP Cat Rescue.
Looking for a great vet for your new friend? At OCSP, we use and highly recommend South Orange County Animal Hospital!
